In the environmental commitments in energetic matter, suspend of way *clamorosa. The Balearic Islands surpass in a 54% the maximum of broadcasts of *CO2 that marks the protocol of *Kioto. And the island of *Menorca still goes further, and surpasses this limit in a 68%.

The *GOB believes that the energetic question needs *manco rhetorical and more political decided, because the dynamics that are bringing is totally *enfrontada to the *reptes of *sostenibilitat. Remember that the protocol of *Kioto establishes that the Been Spanish can increase the broadcasts of *CO2 in a maximum of 15% concerning the broadcasts of 1990. The Ministry of Medium *Ambient has published these days the relation of broadcasts for Autonomous Communities. Of these data *desprèn how Balearic issued, the 2006, a 76,65% more than broadcasts of *CO2 than the 1990. On the other hand, the broadcasts to *Menorca of the same period increased a 93,69%.

We are, therefore, contributing -and a lot- to the climatic change and to that the atmospheric pollution increase. In front of these realities, the *GOB asks:

• The *foment of the saving of electricity. The electrical consumption is what more contributes to the broadcasts of *CO2 of *Menorca. It is necessary to put special attention to the correct use of the air conditioned and to the *foment of the light bulbs of low consumption. The economic saving that achieves with these measures also results a lot significant.
• The constant promotion of the public transport. The *desplaçaments with own vehicle are another big source of pollution.
• A bet decided by the *foment of the solar energy. To *Menorca is especially urgent *consensuar criteria between administrations because it was easy and sure reverse so much in photovoltaic solar energy (to produce electricity) and in thermal solar energy (to heat the domestic water).
  

It is necessary to remember that, in the energetic subject, the attitude of the citizens also has a lot to see with the final result. We would have to try go correcting the current habits, in order to diminish the environmental impact that now are causing.
